Carton of the Year – Confectionery Winner
This month we bring you the winner of the Carton of the Year in the Confectionery sector in the European Carton Awards 2017. The winner was LIQ, a liquorice gift set box. LIQ is a Finnish company who hand make high-quality liquorice and distribute it through selected retailers only.
Carton design and printing
The carton has double walls and a glued lid. The inner boxes have a two layer opening and the cartonboard is an eco-friendly material.
The choice of a black background and bright colours for text and logo only is in keeping with the high-quality, hand made exclusive image of this luxury product. A soft touch and UV varnish finish add to the air of quality, exclusivity and mystery.
All the boxes are printed on the inside, a different colour for each flavour.
The structure of this carton was created by the packaging company Van Genechten Packaging and the graphic design was by N2, a Helsinki based graphic design company
