This rice pudding packaging sleeve was designed by Robot Food, a Leeds-based design company for the Hain Daniels Group. Robot Food were asked to create a look and feel for the brand. They have a reputation for different and unusual designs. The result is very striking and different for a food category that has a slightly staid image. The branding also attracts attention by using a twist on the well-known catchphrase “Naughty but Nice”. The sleeve contains a plastic pot that has also has vivid, brand-less images. The design may also help the brand to appeal to a wider consumer base as the vivid and playful design, in our opinion anyway, might attract children in the food aisles while shopping with parents.
