This packaging is a very good example of the type of sustainable packaging that may help sway a consumer towards a particular brand if he/she is choosing between two otherwise very similar brands.
Features of this sustainable packaging.
This packaging has no inner plastic bag and has an easy open/close mechanism. It has a small window patch so the consumer can see the product. The new gable shape clearly distinguishes the product from the competitors’ flat pack tops . The pack ideal for recycling as it contains a high percentage of cartonboard.
Winner of the Procarton ECMA Awards 2015
This carton won the Sustainability Award at the Procarton ECMA awards 2015 and the Procarton website comments include the following: “With a completely new solution for this product segment, this pack offers a decisive advance in terms of sustainability”
The Procarton website also comments on other features: “The perforation in the upper part allows easy opening and closing as well as simple dispensing. The cross-wise closing flaps keep the base sealed. The new gable shape clearly distinguishes the product from the competitors’ flat pack tops. ”
