Sow Now Sunflower Seed Cartons for Red Cross Ukraine appeal

We are delighted to have partnered with the organisers of SOW NOW to produce cartons for this wonderful initiative. This campaign is the brainchild of Ukrainian refugee, Tetiana Pankiv and her host, Jacqui McNab. Tetiana arrived in Ireland in March with her 3 children. Tetiana and Jacqui created this campaign and galvanised a huge host of volunteers and partners to assist them.

SOW NOW have partnered with Musgraves to sell sunflower seeds from SuperValu and Centra, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross effort in Ukraine. The aim is to get ask many Irish people as possible to plant sunflowers on May 19th to help Tetiana’s beloved country and to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

A huge number of volunteers turned out in Tullow, Co Carlow on April 23rd to assist the SOW NOW organisers and Tullow Friends of Ukraine in packing the seeds into packets and then into the cartons. The sunflowers are now being distributed throughout Centra and Supervalu shops and other the participating retail outlets.
